Full Time, Commission-Based

Elliman Capital Loan Officers deliver a high-touch, concierge-level mortgage experience supported by a modern digital platform. In this role, the Mortgage Loan Originator will guide clients from initial inquiry through closing, presenting tailored financing solutions and maintaining trusted relationships with real estate partners across the New York market. This position is best suited for proactive relationship builders who communicate clearly, operate with urgency, and maintain exceptional file quality and compliance discipline.

Responsibilities

Engage promptly with leads from pre-qualification forms, online applications, and referral partners

Evaluate borrower goals and present customized financing options across conventional, jumbo, and specialty programs

Structure loan scenarios and lock pricing consistent with underwriting guidelines and client objectives

Collect and review documentation to expedite approvals, setting clear expectations on timelines and conditions

Manage a full pipeline from application through funding with proactive communication at each stage

Collaborate with processors, underwriters, and closers to resolve conditions efficiently

Build and maintain relationships with real estate agents, developers, and past clients to drive referral business

Maintain accurate disclosures, detailed notes, and clean files in LOS and CRM systems

Ensure strict adherence to all state, federal, and NMLS regulatory requirements

Qualifications

Active NMLS license in

New York

(or ability to obtain promptly); clean regulatory record

Minimum two years of front-end origination experience; luxury and investor market experience preferred

Strong knowledge of

FNMA/FHLMC conventional

and

jumbo

programs; familiarity with FHA, VA, and Non-QM lending

Strong consultative and communication skills with client-first focus

Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage a high-volume, deadline-driven pipeline

Tech-proficient and comfortable operating in a digital-first environment

Existing referral network or book of business

Multilingual capabilities

Experience with high-balance, second home, and investor financing

Compensation Disclosure (NY Compliance) This position is

commission-based . Annualized earnings typically range from

$50,000–$500,000+ , depending on production volume and loan mix.
