Our client, a leading manufacturer in the cosmetics and personal care industry, is seeking skilled Compounders to join their production team in Roanoke County, VA. The Compounder plays a critical role in ensuring the accurate preparation and mixing of raw materials to produce high-quality liquid products that meet all specifications and safety standards.

Pay:
$20/hr + shift differential ($0.75 for 2nd shift, $1.00 for 3rd shift)
Shifts:
2nd Shift:
Monday–Friday, 3:00 PM–11:00 PM
3rd Shift:
Monday–Friday, 11:00 PM–7:00 AM
Terms:
Contract to Hire
Key Responsibilities:
Accurately weigh and mix raw materials according to established formulas and batch sheets.
Monitor and adjust production processes to maintain consistency and quality.
Perform equipment setup, operation, and calibration for each production run.
Conduct in-process quality checks to verify product integrity and compliance with specifications.
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workspace, following all cGMP and safety procedures.
Record production data and batch information accurately for traceability and compliance.
Assist with inventory control for raw materials and finished products.
Perform standard cleaning and sanitation of equipment per work instructions.
Support and help train new Compounders as needed.
Perform other production-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Education:
High School Diploma or GED required.
Coursework or certification in Chemical Technology or a related field preferred.
Experience:
1–3 years of experience in compounding, cosmetics, pharmaceutical, or chemical manufacturing preferred.
Prior experience in a production or batch processing environment is highly desirable.
Skills & Abilities
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in measurements and documentation.
Excellent time management and ability to multitask in a fast-paced setting.
Solid understanding of safety standards and quality control procedures.
Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
Familiarity with manufacturing equipment, scales, and mixing systems.
Basic problem-solving and analytical thinking skills.
