WNFC Game Day Statistician (City-Based Position) The Women’s National Football Conference (WNFC) is seeking NCAA‑guideline‑driven Game Statisticians in each of our 16 cities for the upcoming spring season. These individuals will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy, consistency, and professionalism of WNFC game statistics in alignment with the NCAA Statisticians’ Manual and official football scoring protocols.

Game Statisticians will attend live games during the WNFC regular season and potentially postseason, collaborating with local game day staff, team officials, and league representatives to deliver accurate and real‑time data that supports league analytics, coaching, and media.

Core Responsibilities Live Game Statistics

Record and track live game events, including plays, completions, tackles, rushing and passing yards, and scoring plays (amongst others).

Input data into WNFC‑approved statistical software in real time.

Deliver accurate and timely game reports for media distribution, league analytics, and broadcast integration.

Work collaboratively with a spotter or game operations lead to verify plays and outcomes.

Accuracy and Compliance

Ensure all recorded statistics meet NCAA and WNFC standards of accuracy and integrity.

Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of the NCAA Football Statisticians’ Manual and WNFC statistical protocols.

Verify final game stats with official scorers and assist in resolving discrepancies or disputes.

Submit completed game data within league‑specified timelines.

Data Management and Analysis

Collect and organize both live and historical game data for quality control and performance tracking.

Generate post‑game summaries for league and team use.

Identify trends, player performances, and key metrics that inform WNFC’s competitive insights.

Support the development of analytical dashboards and performance visualizations.

Required Skills and Qualifications

Strong knowledge of NCAA football rules and statistical procedures.

Experience with sports data software or live‑stat entry systems.

High attention to detail and ability to work under the fast pace of live events.

Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.

Excellent communication skills for coordination with WNFC game officials, media, and team staff.

Ability to work independently and represent the WNFC with professionalism.

Availability to attend all home games (Saturdays, Spring Season).

Preferred Qualifications

Prior experience as a collegiate or professional football statistician or data coordinator.

Background in sports analytics, data management, or game operations.

Familiarity with NCAA and NFHS scoring conventions.
