Donor Relations and Stewardship Director
Job Summary:
Oversees the strategic planning and daily operations of Donor Relations within the Division of University Advancement. Responsible for stewarding more than 7,500 donors who contribute over $20 million annually to Cleveland State University (CSU). Develops and implements personalized stewardship strategies that enhance donor engagement, retention, and philanthropic impact. Manages recognition programs, donor communications, and gift agreement compliance. Supervises the Donor Relations Coordinator and collaborates closely with advancement leadership, development officers, and marketing teams. Reports to the Associate Vice President of Advancement and plays a central role in promoting a culture of gratitude and accountability across CSU’s philanthropic programs. Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree preferably in communications, public relations, marketing, business administration, or related degree. Four (4) years of experience in fundraising, donor relations, alumni engagement, or sales support. Leadership experience. Experience working with high net-worth individuals and collaborating with volunteers. Ability to work nights and weekends as necessary. Seniority Level
