Job Description Goldman Sachs Engineers are innovators and problem-solver, building solutions in risk management, big data, mobile and more. We look for creative collaborators who evolve, adapt to change and thrive in a fast-paced global environment. Want to push the limit of digital possibilities? Start here.

Transaction Banking (TxB) TxB aims to bring innovative solutions to traditional banking and lending activities. We are a global team of lenders, investors, risk managers, skilled marketers, web experts and banking specialists. We provide a suite of solutions to help our customers meet their financial goals, manage risk for a portfolio of corporate loans and securities, and transform distressed communities through investments and loans of private capital.

Payments Team Within TxB, our Payments team is at the heart of Corporate Cash Management. Our mission is to build a market‑leading payment platform that is highly scalable, resilient, 24×7 available and cloud‑based. We start with a clean slate and a singular goal: to provide corporate clients with a reliable payment platform they can use to run and grow their businesses.

Who We Look For As a Payments Business Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in bridging the gap between product management and development teams. You will gather, analyse, and document business and functional requirements for our payment solutions, ensuring they are clearly translated into actionable user stories for engineering teams.

Your deep understanding of the payments landscape—particularly in payment rail schemes such as Fedwire, FEDACH, RTP, CHAPS, CHIPS, or experience with batch, RTGS, or real‑time payment schemes—is essential.

You will work closely with business stakeholders, operations, and clients to elicit detailed requirements, map processes, and identify opportunities for improvement and automation. You will collaborate with engineering, ensuring requirements are feasible and prioritised within the product backlog. You will also be involved in User Acceptance Testing (UAT), validating features meet business and regulatory requirements, and supporting rollout and adoption of new features.

A strong analytical mindset and experience in writing clear and concise use cases and user stories are critical. You will support KPI definition and tracking, prepare reports for senior leadership on project progress, and contribute to continuous process improvements across payment operations.

Your background should include practical experience with Agile methodologies (Scrum or Kanban), strong communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to operate independently in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment.
