Join the StandardAero Houston team as an experienced Corporate Aircraft Mechanic (Licensed Mechanic III) supporting maintenance and inspection of business aviation aircraft. In this role, you’ll perform detailed airframe maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair on a variety of corporate jet platforms including Learjet, Embraer, Challenger, and Falcon aircraft. You’ll work in a collaborative, high‑performance MRO environment where safety, precision, and teamwork drive success. What You’ll Do
Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, inspections, and repairs on business jet airframes and systems. Remove and reinstall turbofan and turboprop engines for inspection and maintenance. Conduct operational checks, engine runs, and leak checks to verify serviceability. Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic, landing gear, flight control, and other airframe systems. Evaluate removed components for serviceability; document and resolve discrepancies. Read and interpret maintenance manuals, blueprints, and technical data. Perform fuel tank sealing and other specialized structural tasks as required. Accomplish Service Bulletins, Repair Letters, and Airworthiness Directives in accordance with FAA and OEM standards. Document all work performed clearly, accurately, and in compliance with StandardAero procedures. Adhere to all safety, environmental, and quality standards in a professional MRO setting. Position Requirements
Minimum 7 years of experience performing heavy maintenance on turbofan engine corporate aircraft (Gulfstream, Embraer, Challenger, Global, Learjet, Hawker). Available to work 6:30 am–3:00 pm M‑F with flexibility for overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed to meet business needs. Ability to read and interpret OEM maintenance manuals and schematic diagrams. Able to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 lbs., and work in physically demanding conditions. Authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship. Valid FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) License. High School Diploma or GED equivalent. Preferred Characteristics
Experience in an MRO or Service Center environment. Factory‑authorized training on corporate aircraft or Honeywell engines. Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and technical skills. Excellent communication and documentation abilities. Proven ability to work independently while supporting team goals. Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
