Field Service Engineer II – Fort Myers or Fort Lauderdale
Join Leica Biosystems as a Field Service Engineer II and help accelerate your potential while making a real difference within life sciences, diagnostics, and biotechnology. Working within our Service Organization, you will support customers from Fort Myers or Fort Lauderdale, Florida, and help advance cancer diagnostics and improve lives.
In this role, you will:
Provide installation support, maintenance, modification and/or repair on 1-2 groups of mechanical, electromechanical, electronic and/or refrigeration instruments.
Document and complete service administration activities in a timely manner to follow ISO, FDA, and Leica policies.
Actively support the sale of service contracts, assist sales representatives & service team members with system configurations/upgrades, and provide feedback on ways to improve financial performance to generate service revenue.
Essential Requirements
Associate’s degree with 3+ years of field service experience or related field, or Bachelor’s Degree in Science with 1+ year of experience, or equivalent military experience (applied military experience considered case‑by‑case).
Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical / Environment Requirements
Ability to travel up to 90%, including frequent overnights.
Must have a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
Ability to lift, move or carry equipment up to 50 lb.
Preferred Experience
Diagnosing and repairing medical devices, electromechanical equipment, or scientific instruments.
Field Service Engineering and/or Networking/IT system upgrades.
Experience in a lab or hospital environment.
The hourly range for this role is $30.00 - $43.00. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. This range may be modified in the future. The job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
