JOB DESCRIPTION A client of Insight Global is looking for a Secret Cleared Windows System Administrator to join their team. As a Windows Systems Administrator for a classified government contract, you will ensure the smooth operation of multi-user computer systems by coordinating with network, software, and system engineers, desktop technicians, project managers, end users, and IT leadership. Responsibilities include analyzing customer requirements to determine hardware and software solutions, implementing system enhancements to improve performance and reliability, managing configuration, patching, monitoring, and problem resolution. You will provide backup and recovery services, oversee file systems and disk space, maintain virus protection, and manage user and computer accounts with appropriate security permissions. Additional duties include testing new product releases for compatibility, documenting technical processes, and recommending hardware and software purchases. This role requires interaction with vendors to evaluate products and services, strict adherence to Information Systems security guidelines, and maintaining audit and logging information for classified systems. You will prepare security documentation, report project status, and apply vulnerability and risk mitigation strategies in compliance with RMF and DoD JSIG standards. Operating with minimal supervision, you will independently develop solutions and approaches to meet mission‑critical objectives.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of relevant experience

Secret level security clearance (at a minimum)

Active Security+ CE, CASP, CISSP, or similar DoD 8570 security certification

Ability to support multiple networks, ensure necessary system administration tasks are completed independently with minimal supervision, and be able to work as part of a team environment with other IT/technical professionals

Experience managing Windows Server OS and domain architecture in a classified environment, including working knowledge of Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS management, DHCP scopes, WSUS/SCCM, and basic networking/subnetting

Familiarity with DoD STIGs, deploying new STIGs, and working with IT/IA to develop POA&Ms for vulnerabilities that cannot be mitigated or STIG settings that cannot be applied
