DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Success Criteria: Serve as the Colorado Rapids' primary contact for Corporate, Community and Brand-related communication needs by delivering creative, culture-focused communications that elevate the visibility, reputation and fandom of the Colorado Rapids. Success is measured by increased media coverage of off-the-field stories across local and national media outlets, increased relationships with non-sports media members, and effective collaboration across departments to enhance organizational storytelling. Outcomes include increase in corporate and community press coverage, increase in corporate and community initiatives knowledge to external and internal audiences, increase in internal knowledge of club initiatives, and alignment across internal channels by...
Corporate Communications: Oversee day-to-day corporate communications media relations, managing inquiries and interviews, developing communications materials (press releases, talking points, speeches, presentation decks), amplifying corporate, community, and commercial initiatives. Sporting Communications: Support sporting communications initiatives where needed, including providing match coverage for home and away matches, and overall strategic guidance to junior staff. Media & Public Relations: Create and maintain strong relationships with local and national, business, sports business, lifestyle and community media outlets and contacts, pitching and securing interview opportunities. Expand the club's reach across non-traditional and emerging media spaces. Internal Communications: Create and implement internal communications strategy that aligns and informs staff and fosters a connected and informed organizational culture - inclusive of ONECLUB Hub system use and management. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with Marketing, Community Impact + Fan Development and Revenue teams to ensure consistent messaging on all corporate-related announcements and initiatives, across all internal and external channels. Content & Storytelling: Develop business, community and brand-related storylines and narratives to craft pitches for external content, and to assist in creation of internal content (internal newsletters, and digital/social platforms) to enhance brand narrative. BS/BA degree in communications, journalism or related field 4+ years' experience in field or related field Minimum 1 year of people management, can include interns or part-time staff Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire

Previous experience in professional or collegiate sports Ability to acquire or produce and maintain a valid driver's license and meet company vehicle driving standards Bilingual in English and Spanish is preferred
