Position Overview Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center / Harvard Medical School – Boston, Massachusetts. The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at BIDMC, part of Harvard Medical Faculty Physicians and Harvard Medical School, is seeking a full‑time surgeon for its Division of Urogynecology & Reconstructive Pelvic Surgery (URPS).

Division The URPS Division currently includes three fellowship‑trained urogynecologists, two nurse practitioners, and three specialized nurses. It focuses on equitable, patient‑centered care and innovation in minimally invasive surgical treatments, and it provides teaching to medical students, OBGYN residents, and URPS fellows.

Responsibilities

Provide clinical care at the BIDMC main campus and select affiliate sites in the greater Boston area.

Manage pelvic floor disorders using vaginal, laparoscopic, and robotic approaches.

Serve as a core teaching faculty for the ACGME‑accredited three‑year URPS fellowship and for the four‑week OBGYN PGY‑2 URPS rotation.

Participate in teaching, research, and quality improvement activities.

Contribute to the division’s academic and clinical growth.

Qualifications

Board‑eligible or board‑certified in OBGYN, with subspecialty training in URPS preferred.

Demonstrated commitment to research, teaching, and quality improvement.

Proficiency in medical and surgical management of pelvic floor disorders, including experience with vaginal, laparoscopic, and robotic procedures.

Academic Appointment The academic appointment at Harvard Medical School will be at the rank of Instructor, Assistant Professor, or Associate Professor in the Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology, and Reproductive Biology. Salary will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.
