About The Position Job Title: Neuro Occupational Therapist Profession: Therapy/Rehabilitation Specialty: PT Outpatient Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 8 hours Experience: Minimum 2 years in specialty License: State License Required Certifications: BLS Required Must-Have: Preferred experience in pelvic floor therapy and completion of 2 Hermann & Wallace courses. Description: This position is in a commonly impacted area for hurricanes. The hurricane season runs from June 1 to November 30. Storms may occur outside of this window. Upon accepting an assignment, you may be assigned to an "Emergency Team." There will be an expectation to stay at the facility until after storms pass or be part of the relief team. Details pertaining to pay during storms will vary. By signing your travel contract, you accept the above conditions. You should be prepared to report as assigned during emergencies. Daily Census is approximately 11 patients. You will be expected to conduct about 9 visits per day. Interdisciplinary support is provided through Physical Therapy. The patient age groups include adolescents, adults, and geriatrics. A strong understanding of CVA rehabilitation, multiple sclerosis, and other progressive neurological disorders is required. Experience with spinal cord injury and traumatic brain injury is preferred. Travel experience is required. References are not required for submission but will be required to clear your contract. Candidates must have a compact or state license upon submission. You must be over 65 miles away from the facility to qualify. All candidates must have their NURSYS Reports up to date. This position requires no call-in. RTO must be mentioned in the profile during the interview. Candidates who have worked as permanent staff must be separated for one full year before returning. Modules related to this role are billable and will be factored into consolidation.
