Completion of Radiology program and ARRT-R credential. Candidates must also obtain ARMRIT or ARRT-MR within 12 months of hire date. MRI cross-training can be provided! Relocation assistance available for those who qualify. Job Summary:
Operates a scanner to obtain images used to diagnose and treat various pathologies. Primary Responsibilities: Prepare and position patients while accurately selecting anatomic and technical parameters to produce high-quality cross-sectional images. Conduct patient pre-screening, scheduling, and provide education related to MRI examinations. Enter and monitor patient data, transferring images to the appropriate systems. Prepare and administer contrast media/medications as per scope of practice and regulations. Ensure prompt submission and high quality of all images and documents. Maintain proper functioning of equipment and report any malfunctions. Assist in keeping the department clean and organized. Work with efficiency and alertness while performing other assigned duties. Education: Completion of a MRI or Radiology Technology program. Experience: One year of direct MRI experience. Physical Requirements: Constant standing and walking. Frequent lifting and moving of patients. Occasional bending, stooping, and lifting of heavier objects. Certifications: Basic Life Support HealthCare Provider (BLS HCP) - American Heart Association (AHA). ARRT-MR Magnetic Resonance Imaging - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or ARMRIT - American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists. Scheduled Weekly Hours:
