MAU is hiring a Press Maintenance Technician
for our client in Durham, NC.
As a Press Maintenance Technician you will maintain, troubleshoot, and repair press equipment and related printing systems to support optimal machine performance and production efficiency . This is a direct-hire opportunity.

Rotating 2-2-3-2 schedule
Day shift: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM Night shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM
Initial training schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM (duration: 4-12 weeks) Required Education and Experience
High school diploma or equivalent 5+ years of relevant maintenance experience, preferably in printing or press operations Experience with digital and offset press maintenance highly desirable Preferred Education and Experience
Technical training in printing technology or industrial maintenance General Requirements
Proficient with press-specific mechanical and electrical systems including:
Electrical controls, pneumatic systems, servo drives, encoders Web tension systems, ink delivery, plate imaging equipment Impression systems, blanket washers, web handling systems
Familiarity with:
PLC ladder logic and HMI systems (preferred) Industrial safety standards (ANSI, IEEE, UL) Color theory, substrates, and ink chemistry
Ability to read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and mechanical drawings Strong troubleshooting, diagnostic, and communication skills Must be able to reliably commute to assigned locations in the Raleigh, Morrisville, or Durham area Essential Functions
Perform preventive and general maintenance on digital, offset, flexographic, and web-fed printing presses Troubleshoot, adjust, and repair mechanical and electrical components to maintain operational uptime Maintain and service press equipment including ink systems, plate mounting, impression and blanket cylinders, dampening, and web handling components Calibrate and align press systems to ensure print quality and registration Maintain and troubleshoot ink mixing systems, densitometers, spectrophotometers, and automated ink dispensing systems Diagnose technical issues and install or calibrate parts using manufacturer manuals Operate electrical, pneumatic, and hand tools; document activities in CMMS Install and service motors, drives, switches, relays, transformers, and circuit panels using schematics and wiring diagrams Maintain web tension controls, unwind/rewind units, web guides, splice tables, and substrate feeders Collaborate with press operators, production teams, management, and vendors to resolve issues Follow SOPs, lock-out/tag-out, and housekeeping protocols to ensure safety and compliance Support production goals and assist in other maintenance duties as needed Working Conditions
Press room environment with exposure to noise, machinery, inks, solvents, and temperature fluctuations May work around moving press components and under indoor industrial conditions Physical Demands
Frequent walking, bending, kneeling, and crawling around large equipment Ability to push, pull, lift, or carry up to 60 pounds occasionally Reaching into confined spaces and repetitive motion of hands, wrists, and arms
