Overview Position Highlights: Full-Time; 40 Hours. Hours: Varied; Monday-Friday shifts vary from 6:45am-8:00pm. Rotating weekend coverage every 6th weekend Saturday and Sunday 8:00am-4:00pm. Holidays and travel as needed. Location: Naperville multiple locations.

Responsibilities

Operate radiologic equipment to produce radiographs of body for diagnostic purposes as directed by the Radiologist.

Position patient on examining table and adjust immobilization devices to obtain optimum view of specific areas of body requested by physician.

Explain procedures to patient to reduce anxieties and obtain patient cooperation.

Move x-ray equipment into specified positions and adjust equipment controls to set exposure factors such as time and distance.

Practice radiation protection techniques to minimize radiation to patient and staff.

Obtain patient’s pertinent history.

Maintain crash cart.

Maintain and stock inventory.

Maintain OSHA regulations.

Perform other projects and duties related to department objective.

Act as a team player, accept constructive criticism from supervisor and follow work rules.

Report to lead technologist for work assignments.

Assist with film quality control and work evening and holidays as required for department operation.

Assist and relieve manager expediting the patient work flow through the department.

Qualifications Education

Associate’s degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; or six months to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Must be AART registered or eligible also IDNS licensed.

CPR certification.

Years of Experience

6 months - 2 years related experience.

The compensation for this role includes a base pay range of $28.84-$43.00, with the actual pay determined by factors such as skills, experience, education, certifications, geographic location, and internal equity. Additional compensation may be available through shift differentials, bonuses, and other incentives. Base pay is only a portion of the total rewards package.
