Registered Nurse Qualifications
Minimum
3 years of recent Operating Room RN experience
(required)
Hands-on experience in
Neurology, Transplant, General Surgery, GYN, and Orthopedics
(required)
Previous travel nursing experience required (first-time travelers not accepted)
Active Georgia or Compact RN license (must be in hand at submission)
BLS certification (required)
Proficiency with Epic charting system (required)
Preferred: Experience in Trauma Level I/II and community hospital settings
Ability to float within facility and outpatient settings as needed
Two supervisory references (Manager or above) highly preferred
Operating Room Nurse Responsibilities
Deliver direct patient care in the Operating Room, prioritizing patient safety and optimal surgical outcomes
Circulate and/or scrub for a wide range of surgical procedures: Bariatrics, Urology, Neurology, ENT, Oral, Plastics, Transplant, Ophthalmology, General Surgery, GYN, and Orthopedics
Demonstrate clinical proficiency in procedures such as craniotomy, joint replacement, transplant, and complex general surgeries
Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams (IV, physical therapy, respiratory, pharmacy, rapid response)
Maintain accurate, timely documentation using Epic
Float to other units within scope of practice as needed
Participate in orientation and ongoing clinical training modules
Comply with all facility policies, including compliance and holiday scheduling
