Senior Data Engineering Lead (Python, AWS, SQL, AI, ML)

We are looking for a Senior Data Engineering Lead who is excited about harnessing data with cutting-edge technologies. Your Role Includes: Partnering with Agile teams to design, develop, test, implement, and support innovative solutions using full-stack development tools. Leading a team of skilled developers experienced in machine learning, distributed microservices, and full-stack systems. Utilizing programming languages such as Python, Scala, and Java along with databases like NoSQL and Open Source RDBMS, while leveraging cloud data warehousing services such as Redshift and Snowflake. Staying ahead of the latest tech trends and sharing your knowledge with fellow engineers through mentoring and community engagement. Collaborating with digital product managers to deliver impactful cloud-based solutions that empower millions of Americans financially. Conducting thorough unit tests and code reviews to ensure robust, well-designed, and high-performance code. Basic Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree. A minimum of 6 years in application development (internship experience not included). At least 2 years of experience in big data technologies. At least 1 year of experience in cloud computing (AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud). Preferred Qualifications: Master's Degree. 9+ years of experience in application development with tools such as Python, SQL, Scala, or Java. 4+ years of experience with a public cloud (AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud). 5+ years of experience with distributed data/computing tools (e.g., MapReduce, Hadoop, Hive, EMR, Kafka, Spark, Gurobi, MySQL). 4+ years of experience in real-time data and streaming applications. 4+ years of experience deploying scalable AI solutions on cloud platforms. Experience in developing AI and ML algorithms. 4+ years of experience with NoSQL implementations (Mongo, Cassandra). 4+ years of data warehousing experience (Redshift or Snowflake). 4+ years of experience with UNIX/Linux systems, including basic commands and shell scripting. 2+ years of experience in Agile engineering practices. This role is eligible for employment authorization sponsorship. The salary range for this position varies depending on location: McLean, VA: $225,400 - $257,200 Richmond, VA: $204,900 - $233,800 Cambridge, MA: $225,400 - $257,200 In addition to salary, this position may offer performance-based incentives, cash bonuses, and long-term incentives.
