SSM Health Saint Louis University, SLUCare, seeks an experienced vascular surgeon or recent fellowship graduate to join our dynamic Division of Vascular Surgery. This is an exceptional opportunity to join a high-volume, Level 1 trauma center practice that serves the critical vascular surgical needs of the SSM St. Louis ministries. About Our Division
The Division of Vascular Surgery provides essential surgical services for high-acuity patients across the SSM St. Louis network. Our division operates at the 90th percentile for surgical volume and complexity, making this a critical addition to maintaining our exceptional standard of care. As vascular surgery is a mandatory service for Level 1 trauma center accreditation, this position is essential to our mission. Our growing practice currently comprises 3 faculty members, with expansion opportunities available, including one additional open faculty position and two Advanced Practice Provider (APP) positions planned. Clinical Responsibilities
Surgical Volume & Practice Mix
Perform 3-6 procedures per week Balanced 50% inpatient / 50% outpatient caseload High-complexity vascular cases across the spectrum Call Coverage
1 in 5 call rotation Level 1 trauma vascular coverage at multiple facilities (SLUH & CG) Emergency Department call coverage at SM-SL Approximately 2-3 hours per day when on-call Coverage extends across SLU Hospital and expanding network sites Patient Population
High-acuity vascular surgical patients Level 1 trauma vascular emergencies Complex inpatient and outpatient vascular conditions Qualifications
Required
Board certification or board eligibility in Vascular Surgery Completion of accredited vascular surgery fellowship OR experienced vascular surgeon Medical licensure eligible in Missouri Ability to obtain privileges at SSM Health facilities Preferred
