Responsibilities Work in a hospital-based case management unit Focus on utilization review and care coordination for ambulatory, acute, and post-acute patients Day shift schedule, Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm Use of Epic for documentation is required Patient population includes complex health needs requiring medical necessity review and care facilitation Inpatient and ambulatory referral review, including preauthorization, concurrent, and retrospective review Responsible for coordinating utilization management, discharge planning, and post-acute care referrals Collaborate closely with the interdisciplinary care team and medical directors Issue and document facility or regulatory letters as required Participate in interdisciplinary meetings for care planning Returning travelers must have been separated from the facility for at least one year to be eligible Only one holiday request for time off will be approved Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility unless accepting the local rate Modules and e-learning will be completed during orientation Requirements Active CA RN license required at the time of consideration Minimum of 2 years of recent acute/inpatient case management experience Experience with utilization management criteria such as InterQual or MCG Epic charting experience required Ability to process and document referrals and authorizations in line with departmental policies Current AHA or American Red Cross certifications required Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-632652.
