Registered Nurse Qualifications
Active Texas Registered Nurse (RN) license (required at submission)
Minimum 2 years of recent Operating Room RN experience
Craniotomy and burr hole experience (required for OR nursing jobs)
Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, NIHSS (CNOR preferred)
Experience with Allscripts or Altera charting systems preferred
Previous charge nurse, trauma level I/II, and travel nursing experience preferred
Ability to complete facility drug screen upon arrival (includes Marijuana)
Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions accepted)
Operating Room Nurse Responsibilities
Circulate and/or scrub for diverse surgical procedures: neuro/spine, ortho/trauma, general/robotics
Demonstrate proficiency in craniotomy and burr hole procedures
Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams (IV, PT, RT, pharmacy)
Maintain accurate and timely documentation in electronic medical records
Participate in call rotation and cover late shifts as needed
Deliver safe, compassionate, and evidence-based nursing care to patients of all ages
Support a positive, efficient, and adaptable operating room environment
