We're seeking a skilled and experienced paralegal to support our growing legal team. The ideal candidate for this position will use their work experience and organizational skills to prepare and maintain legal documents, file motions, interview clients, and conduct legal research. If you're looking to fill an invaluable position at a firm and love helping others, apply today.Responsibilities:Assist lawyers in preparing legal documentation, pleadings, and correspondence including correspondence such as interrogatories, subpoenas, deposition notices, complaints, pretrial orders, legal briefs, and affidavitsAid lawyers in trial preparation by preparing and organizing exhibits, organizing and coordinating witnesses, conducting research on legal articles, and assisting with client meetings and filing motionsPerform administrative duties such as answering phone calls and keeping our case filing system organized so all documents are readily accessibleArrange law office activity such as drafting subpoenas and coordinating with process serversHold client interviews to gather information about their legal problemsManage real estate and probate files from intake to closing, ensuring all deadlines are met.Draft and review legal documents, including wills, trusts, deeds, contracts, and probate pleadings.Conduct legal research on real estate and probate laws and procedures, ensuring compliance with Florida law.Coordinate real estate transactions, including managing due diligence, reviewing titles and surveys, and preparing closing documents.Assist in trust and estate administration, including gathering and organizing asset and liability information.Handle e-filing and document recording processes with Florida courts. Qualifications:3+ years of legal service experience under an attorney or lawyer in a law firm settingExcellent organizational skills, and time-management skillsCandidates must have completed an ABA-approved paralegal certificate program such as an Associate's degree or proprietary school program in paralegal studies, Bachelor's degree preferredTalented communicator and writerCompletion of a nationally-accredited paralegal program strongly preferredMinimum of 3+ years of experience as a paralegal in Florida real estate and probate law.Paralegal certification and/or a Bachelor's degree are preferred.Strong knowledge of Florida probate law and procedure.Must submit to a background check.About CompanyThe Grantham Law Firm is a boutique law firm specializing in Estate Planning, Probate, Real Estate, and 1031 Exchanges.
