Base Pay Range $150,000.00/yr - $175,000.00/yr

About the Role Our client is a real estate investment firm with over $12bn AUM. They seek to hire an associate on the Real Estate Investments team with a focus on acquisitions across asset classes. The group has the ability to invest across the capital stack.

The successful candidate will be responsible for underwriting real estate investment opportunities across asset classes, with a focus on multifamily, office and industrial assets. This is a small investment team and the associate will get responsibility across the entire life cycle of the deal.

Responsibilities

Assist in the underwriting and due diligence of new CRE related investment opportunities across the capital stack

Structure/Build detailed financial models and asset valuation tools to support investment decisions

Forecast operating performance, financial projections and business plan scenarios for deal-specific underwriting

Assisting with creating initial screening memos and final investment memos which will be presented before the Investment Committee

Assist in the preparation of asset-level recommendations for senior management

Prepare strategic plans for assigned properties and contribute to overall portfolio plans

Qualifications

1-4 years of experience in real estate acquisitions role or in investment banking

Significant financial modelling experience

Advanced Excel knowledge, including ability to summarize data via formulas, lookups, Pivot Tables, conditional formatting, etc.

Strong quantitative skills and demonstrated analytical and problem solving ability

Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects
