A Fortune 500 financial services organization is seeking a

100% Remote Senior Investment Accountant

to join its growing investment accounting team.

The role supports accounting, reporting, and analysis for

derivative

and other complex investment products across multiple bases, including GAAP, STAT, and Tax. It offers exposure to technical accounting, policy interpretation, and process improvement within a highly visible function.

Key Responsibilities

Perform and review accounting, analysis, and reporting for derivatives and other complex assets, including hedge accounting application.

Support quarterly and annual reporting processes, including SEC filings (Forms 10-Q and 10-K) and related disclosures.

Interpret and implement new FASB and SSAP guidance relevant to investment and derivative accounting.

Execute SOX testing and maintain documentation to ensure internal control compliance.

Lead or participate in special projects to streamline accounting processes, enhance internal controls, and drive automation or reporting improvements.

Act as a senior team member, providing review and guidance to junior accountants while collaborating across investment, tax, and accounting policy teams.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

Minimum of six years of relevant experience in investment or financial accounting, with exposure to derivatives or complex instruments.

Strong understanding of US GAAP and FASB standards, including hedge accounting concepts.

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint; experience with SAP, BW, or Workiva is preferred.

Familiarity with SOX compliance and financial reporting requirements.

CPA, CFA, CMA, or similar certification is preferred.
