Job Overview This role is a hyflex work arrangement: Approximately 1-day onsite per week in Red Wing, MN headquarters office, with remote work eligibility the remainder of the week. Senior Business Systems Analyst

– join our dynamic Business Technology team. In this role, you’ll analyze, design, document, and validate complex business needs across finance, tax, and point-of-sale systems—helping connect business strategy with technology execution.

Key Responsibilities Business Partnership

Collaborate with Business Stakeholders, Product Managers, Enterprise Architecture, and Application Development teams to evaluate trade‑offs between requirements, user experience, and performance needs.

Become a Subject Matter Expert in the financial systems and applications you support.

Monitor project status, ensure objectives are met, and maintain standards for implementation and support.

Articulate system functionality and impacts to both business and IT teams at all levels.

Technical Analysis

Analyze business requirements and translate them into data, reporting, or application specifications.

Create and modify data mapping templates and SQL/DB2 queries to support interfaces, reporting, and ad‑hoc analysis.

Research and resolve data discrepancies, technical issues, and integration errors.

Business Analysis

Lead and facilitate stakeholder requirements‑gathering sessions.

Translate business needs into clear, actionable requirements that enable flexible, scalable solutions.

Develop use cases, business process flows, and functional specifications.

Identify process inefficiencies and recommend functional or technical enhancements.

Support Change Leaders with training materials and create end‑user reference documentation as needed.

Quality Assurance

Debug and troubleshoot data issues between systems.

Partner with Quality Assurance to develop testing plans, use cases, and validation scenarios.

Facilitate user acceptance testing and verify results align with mapped requirements.

Qualifications EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE:

Bachelor’s degree (B.A./B.S.) in Computer Science, Math or related technical or analytical field from a four‑year college or university and three to five years related experience as a Business Systems Analyst.

REQUIRED LICENSES, CERTIFICATES OR KNOWLEDGE:

Project management skills, leadership development, sound knowledge of software applications, in‑depth knowledge of business practices in supported functions and systems analysis and design skills. Proven experience in design, development and implementation of software and hardware solutions, systems, or products.

ADDITIONAL DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS AND COMPETENCIES:

Experience with ERP (M3/Infor), Vertex Tax Engine/Integrations, POS systems (EVA)

Experience with finance related to banking integrations, AR, AP and corporate tax accounting.

Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office applications

Prior experience as a Programmer/Analyst or Data analyst helpful

Strong customer focus, team and collaboration

Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to communicate ideas in both technical and user‑friendly language

Manage multiple projects and assignments

Excellent analytical, mathematical, and creative problem‑solving skills

Excellent listening and interpersonal skills

Keen attention to detail

Ability to conduct research into systems issues and products as required

Highly self‑motivated and directed

Salary and Benefits The targeted hiring range for this full‑time position is $80,200 – $108,300 depending on qualifications; however, the expanded salary range provides opportunities for advancement. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and job location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by factors including job‑related skills, competencies, experience, and relevant education, training or a combination of these things and market demand.
