Job Overview The Electrical and Instrumentation Technician is responsible for completing preventative maintenance work and answering emergency calls related to any plant instrumentation or electrical issues. The role also involves weekly, monthly, and annual inspections, basic maintenance on the plantwide fire systems, and Continuous Emissions Monitoring equipment.
Essential Functions & Requirements
Maintain all facility instruments, sensors, probes, control loops, and electrical systems.
Perform scheduled preventive maintenance and inspections.
Maintain necessary logs and records.
Perform emergency repairs as needed.
Other duties as assigned.
Education
Associate’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or High School Diploma with equivalent experience.
Experience
Minimum of 3 years electrical and electronics/instrumentation experience in an industrial or chemical process plant.
Competencies
Good safety habits and problem‑solving skills.
Good communication skills.
Team player.
Experience with Bailey Control DCS and Allen Bradley PLC is a plus.
Ability to work rotating 12‑hour shifts, including days, nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime.
Capacity to lift and carry 30 pounds on flat, inclined, laddered, or stair surfaces.
Must pass a pre‑employment physical, background check, and drug screen.
Regular and predictable attendance is essential.
