Senior Bookkeeper
We are seeking a reliable and detail‑oriented Senior Bookkeeper to support our accounting operations and maintain accurate financial records. The ideal candidate is organized, efficient, and able to manage multiple priorities while ensuring compliance with accounting standards.
As a key member of the finance team, the Senior Bookkeeper will handle day‑to‑day accounting activities, assist with reporting, and help ensure smooth financial operations and cash flow management.

Key Responsibilities
Record daily financial transactions in the general ledger.
Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable—process vendor invoices, issue payments, and prepare customer invoices.
Reconcile bank and credit card accounts on a monthly basis.
Prepare and book journal entries, including accruals and adjustments.
Assist with cash flow projections, short‑term and long‑term liquidity tracking.
Process payroll entries and maintain accurate employee records.
Review and interpret bank and investment account statements to ensure accurate reporting.
Assist with month‑end and year‑end closing activities.
Maintain organized records and support documentation for audits or reviews.
Generate basic financial reports, such as income statements and balance sheets.
Support budgeting, forecasting, and expense tracking.
Collaborate with the accounting team to ensure data accuracy and policy compliance.
Respond to customer inquiries in a timely manner.
Qualifications
Education & Experience:
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Associate’s acceptable with experience). 3 to 5 years of bookkeeping or accounting experience.
Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Bill.com, Melio, etc.
Experience using project management software such as Asana.
Understanding of GAAP and basic accounting principles.
Skills
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
Experience preparing journal entries and performing account reconciliations.
Solid understanding of cash flow management and financial statement analysis.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other standard office software.
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
Strong internal and external communication skills including email and phone etiquette.
Discretion in handling sensitive financial and client information.
Experience managing multiple projects at once for various customers.
Familiarity with payroll processing and tax reporting.
Preferred Attributes
Bookkeeping certification is a plus.
