LHH is conducting a search for a hands‑on Controller. The role is with a food manufacturing company with plans to grow to $1 bn in revenue in 2026. They are also preparing to go through an IPO within the next year or two. This role offers a ton of flexibility and growth potential to the right candidate. This is an excellent direct hire opportunity in Chadds Ford, PA which offers an excellent corporate culture, and growth potential.
This is a hybrid role, 4x on site, 1x remote per week.
A Day in the Life This position would oversee the day‑to‑day accounting functions for the company, including leading the close process using a new ERP system (will be implemented this year).
You will oversee consolidations for multi‑entity profit centres. You are responsible for ad hoc reporting to the CFO.
This is one of the most important positions in the company and will report to the CFO. You have a functional understanding of GAAP principles. You will be responsible for oversight of month‑end close, physical inventory, creation of policies and procedures, and will work with the external CPA firm to prepare for IPO next year. You will be responsible for creating financial statements, owning the P&L, and balance sheet.
Integrity, excellent organisational skills, and communication skills are just some of the core focuses of the role.
Experience with Inventory Management is required. Leading the close process and supervisory is required (2+ employees).
Job Requirements
At least 5-7+ years relevant, stable accounting/financial experience
Experience supervising teams of at least 2-3+ employees
CPA highly preferred.
Manufacturing industry experience preferred.
Excellent communication skills and can communicate effectively with all levels of the organization
In‑depth knowledge of U.S. GAAP, including financial statement preparation
A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
Tech savvy with strong working knowledge of MS Office, including demonstrable expertise with Excel
Bonus Discretionary Bonus around 15%
