Advertised Job Summary The Department of English at the University of South Carolina invites applications for one-semester adjunct instructor positions. The teaching load will be 1 to 4 sections (10 to 40 hours per week) in our First‑Year English program (Teaching English 101 and English 102) during the Fall 2022 semester. Appointments are for one semester, but have the possibility of being renewed.

Qualifications

Candidates must hold a degree of M.A. or higher in English or a related field, completed by August 1, 2022.

Preferred candidates will hold a terminal degree (a Ph.D. in English or an M.F.A.) and have a minimum of two years’ experience teaching English at the college level, with evidence of effectiveness.
