Role Overview The Sales Progressor is responsible for moving sales from reservation stage through to contract exchange, ensuring timely completion, maximum profit, and high customer service. The role provides administrative back‑up to the Head of Sales and involves coordination with solicitors, sales teams, lenders, estate agents, and customers.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain communication between Bellway’s nominated solicitor and the customers’ solicitor to achieve contract exchange by the reservation expiry date.
Act as liaison between the divisional office‑based sales team, Sales Advisors, and external stakeholders, keeping all parties informed of progress.
Investigate and resolve any issues, especially those sales involving multiple chains.
Provide a central point of contact for customers during the contract/completion process, simplifying legal terminology.
Deliver timely service and support to customers.
Resolve ad‑hoc or minor queries to allow conveyancers to focus on complex enquiries.
Ensure Sales Advisors give accurate regular updates and support them when required.
Provide a weekly update report to Senior Management.
Experience & Qualifications
Knowledge of the housing market and conveyancing process preferred.
Experience in a sales‑targeted environment.
Experience building effective working relationships within a team.
No formal qualifications necessary; evidence of relevant experience and skills required.
Dynamic and proactive approach.
Patient and tenacious attitude.
Proficient IT skills (Microsoft Office, Outlook, ability to adapt to new systems).
Positive, self‑motivated, excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Committed to diversity and inclusion.
Working Conditions Flexible approach to work, including working beyond core office hours as required; ability to cover other administrative tasks during busy periods.
