Job Summary
Manages a CSX Minerals account portfolio of approximately $280 million, primarily focused on Aggregates accounts.
Primary Activities and Responsibilities
Design, market, sell and manage CSX Transportation (CSXT) services to several Aggregates accounts in the Southeast.
Negotiate and close large, complex commercial proposals in conjunction with all relevant CSX groups, including Marketing, Service Design, Operations, Customer Service and Industrial Development.
Create and execute strategic account plans for customers.
Lead and strengthen business relationships within CSXT and customer organizations while driving improved performance and increased business levels.
Lead and develop improved service plans with customers and appropriate CSX groups, including Service Design, Operations, and Customer Service.
Miscellaneous activities and responsibilities as assigned by manager.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s or 4‑year degree.
Five or more years of experience in Transportation, Logistics, Supply Chain, Operations, Business/Strategic Management, Sales, Account Management, Marketing, or Finance.
Preferred Qualifications
Graduate degree.
Seven or more years of experience in Transportation, Logistics, Supply Chain, Operations, Business/Strategic Management, Sales, Account Management, Marketing, or Finance.
Knowledge and Skills
Problem‑solving skills.
Leadership skills.
Microsoft Office skills.
Analytical, financial, negotiation skills.
Oral and written communication skills.
Ability to handle complex Fortune 500 accounts.
Knowledge of mainframe and personal computer systems.
Knowledge of the railroad or transportation industries.
