We are searching for a dynamic and experienced Consulting Accountant to join our team. This role offers a unique opportunity to leverage your accounting skills in a highly collaborative environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing monthly accounting reports, conducting job costing analysis, and generating job profitability reports for Project Managers. The candidate must have a strong understanding of accounting principles and have a knack for identifying trends, anomalies, and areas of improvement. This role requires a high level of accuracy, attention to detail, and confidentiality. The Consulting Accountant will be a key player in our team, providing financial insights that will help guide business decisions and strategy. Responsibilities
Prepare and analyze monthly accounting reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards and regulations. Conduct job costing analysis to track project expenses, identify cost overruns, and make recommendations for cost control. Generate job profitability reports for Project Managers, providing insights into project performance and profitability. Collaborate with Project Managers to develop budgets and financial forecasts. Evaluate financial data to identify trends, anomalies, and areas of improvement. Ensure all financial operations comply with federal and state laws. Provide financial advice to management to help them make well-informed decisions. Work on special projects as assigned. Qualifications
Construction industry experience required. Minimum of 3+ years of experience in a similar role. Strong knowledge of accounting principles and procedures. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, and accounting software. Exceptional analytical skills and experience in statistical analysis and financial forecasting. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in preparing financial reports and data. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
