Position Summary This Spring 2026 Engineering Co‑Op – Asset Management position is a 8‑hour, 5‑day per week role that supports the Electrical System Reliability (ESR) and NERC Compliance teams. Responsibilities include gathering and compiling asset data, coordinating project timelines, and analyzing data to drive strategic decisions.
Accountabilities
Support the ESR team with developing, maintaining, and modifying asset monitoring plan databases and maintenance strategies.
Support the NERC Compliance team with updates, reviews, and coordinating deliverables with operating areas.
Support the development of project plans, roadmaps, and process flows.
Assist with administrative activities, including work management and procurement for the ESR team.
Help develop and execute process‑improvement initiatives using software tools for the ESR team.
Physical Location Big Bend Power Station, 13031 Wyandotte Road, Gibsonton FL 33534
Working Conditions Mostly an office environment; the successful candidate will visit the field approximately weekly, riding in a company vehicle, walking on uneven surfaces, and entering substations.
Preferred Availability Part‑Time (30–40 hours)
Qualifications Education:
Currently enrolled in an accredited university as an undergraduate or graduate student in Engineering, Business, Economics, Computer Science, IT, or a related field. Junior or Senior year.
Co‑Op Requirements:
Enrollment in the university’s co‑op program (proof of enrollment required). If not eligible, considered an intern.
Minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
Valid driver’s license.
