Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) Engineer (Experienced or Lead) The Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) team is seeking Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) Engineers (Experienced or Lead) for the Saint Louis, MO sites (Berkeley, Hazelwood, and Saint Charles). The selected candidate will work with the Integrated Product Teams to define and develop the product’s system architecture from initial design to product verification, including development and maintenance of requirements, interfaces, and behavioral specifications for the product. The candidate will refine and implement system‑modeling best practices on the program in coordination with the Lead Model Architect for the program.

As part of an integrated digital ecosystem, the candidate will also support development and implementation of open‑architecture standards and APIs to link MBSE models and content to authoritative sources of truth, including digital twin repositories.

MBSE developers and leads are needed across our Saint Louis portfolio of products, including Air Dominance next‑generation and advanced tactical aircraft (F‑47, F‑15, F/A‑18, T‑7A Trainer, MQ‑25 Autonomous Refueler), Phantom Works platforms, Weapon Systems (JDAM, SDB), Government Services (F‑22, P‑8, vertical lift, Apache) and others.

Position Responsibilities

Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to decompose system requirements into functional and logical architectures and allocate logical architecture to physical implementation.

Lead the cross‑functional team to define and maintain the system’s requirements, interfaces, behaviors, and verification requirements.

Conduct systems and systems‑of‑systems analysis and trade studies utilizing MBSE.

Capture system requirements traceability within the system architecture model.

Apply MBSE methodology to develop system architectural views using SysML.

Utilize the system architecture model in support of systems engineering milestone reviews across the lifecycle (SRR, SDR, PDR, CDR, SVR, etc.).

Leverage systems engineering and MBSE experience to define, implement, and maintain the MBSE approach to meet customer digital‑engineering requirements, reference architectures, and Air Dominance best practices.

Develop profiles, macros, plugins, and customizations for the Magic Systems of Systems Architecture (MSOSA) toolset to meet program contract needs.

Create processes, work instructions, and templates for deploying engineering analyses in the system architecture model.

Provide input to continuously improve MBSE training, processes, and tools.

Mentor systems engineers in MBSE processes and tools.

Foster strong customer relationships.

Travel Travel may be required up to 10% of the time, domestically and/or internationally, depending on business needs.
