The HR Data Analytics Analyst supports the Human Resources team by providing accurate and insightful data to inform business decisions. This role focuses on workforce reporting, position management, and labor modeling, while maintaining data integrity across HR systems. The ideal candidate has strong analytical skills, experience with HRIS platforms, advanced Excel capabilities, and a passion for transforming data into actionable insights.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
HR Data Reporting & Analytics
Generate and maintain HR reports and dashboards related to headcount, turnover, and workforce metrics.
Support labor modeling efforts and budget forecasting through data collection and trend analysis.
Maintain accurate position management data and reconcile job, headcount, and organizational structure records.
Produce regular and ad-hoc reports for HR leadership, business partners, and Finance.
Systems Optimization & Integration
Use HRIS tools (e.g., UKG, Workday, SAP) to extract, analyze, and validate workforce data.
Assist in identifying and resolving data quality issues through audits, reconciliations, and collaboration with HRIS.
Contribute to improvements in reporting automation, workflow accuracy, and system integrations.
Excel & Visualization Tools
Use advanced Excel functions (e.g., pivot tables, formulas, Power Query) to prepare and analyze large datasets.
Support the creation of data visualizations using tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
Assist with the consolidation of multi-source data into usable formats for HR reporting and planning.
Collaboration & Support
Partner with HR, Talent Acquisition, and Compensation teams to ensure consistent data usage and definitions.
Provide data support for HR projects including organizational changes, job architecture, and analytics initiatives.
Maintain confidentiality and uphold data security standards at all times.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Data Analytics, or a related field
2–4 years of experience in HR reporting, HRIS analytics, or related data roles
Advanced Excel skills required (pivot tables, formulas, charts, Power Query)
Familiarity with HRIS platforms such as UKG, Workday, SAP, or Oracle
Experience with basic data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, etc.) preferred
Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities
Clear and professional communication skills, both written and verbal
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Exposure to position management, labor modeling, or workforce planning
Knowledge of HR data structures, job classification, and compensation practices
HRIP, SHRM-CP, or other relevant certification a plus
