About The Job CDS Logistics & Home Services is seeking a dynamic professional to assist in the daily accounting processes of a growing network of delivery service providers for a leading final mile logistics company. The Accounting Admin position will be responsible for aiding in all aspects of daily billing and payments of final mile logistics operations, reporting directly to the Accounting Manager. Our primary goal is to ensure excellent operational standards are met and maintain high customer satisfaction throughout the Company.
Location: Middle River, MD
Responsibilities
Perform quality work within deadlines
Interact and communicate professionally with internal and external customer groups
Prioritize daily tasks in consideration to departmental goals
Work independently while understanding the necessity for communicating and coordinating efforts with other employees and external customers
Essential Job Functions
Checking in daily driver paperwork, ensuring all orders are accounted for.
Emailing out daily invoices with appropriate backup.
Uploading invoices to various customers’ websites.
Copying, sorting and scanning of driver’s weekly paperwork.
Emailing customers and agents for accurate paperwork as needed.
Sorting and mailing of 150+ checks per week.
Filing all Payable check remittances and paperwork.
Maintaining proper filing systems.

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear, sit for prolonged periods of time, stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

This position also operates occasionally in a warehouse environment. Working in the warehouse will occur periodically to file archived paperwork.
Required Education And Experience
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Computer knowledge and experience using Microsoft Office software.
Experience with Microsoft Excel, ability to calculate basic formulas.
Willingness to learn while working in a team environment.
Preferred Qualifications
AA Degree or equivalent years of experience in Accounting.
1-3 years of Accounting experience.
Billing experience.
Experience working in Microsoft Great Plains.
Experience working in TMW order management systems.
