Flex Security Officers
for the Indianapolis, IN area. All shifts and days are available. This position offers a starting pay of $18.50/hr with weekly pay.
Benefits All qualifying candidates are eligible for a 401(k) with employer match (up to 8%) when working at least 20 hours a week (minimum of 500 hours per year) and having completed six months of service with SunStates Security.

Requirements
Must have reliable transportation.
One year of experience in security, military, or law enforcement is preferred.
Excellent customer service skills.
Willing and able to work holidays, weekends, and in all weather conditions.
Must regularly stand or walk for extended periods of time and distance.
Exceptional report writing skills.
Mentally analyze a situation, solve problems, and make decisions under pressure in the area of responsibility.
Able to work independently.
Read and understand written instruction and communicate information and ideas in a clear and concise written form.
Responsibilities / Scheduling Expectations The Flex Officer provides trained, competent support by working shifts that become open due to illness, call‑offs, weather, vacation, or other causes. This ensures continuous service to our customers while protecting the health and work balance of our personnel.
You will be trained at various posts and/or facilities based on operational need. While you may work at a specific post or location for several weeks due to need, this will not be a permanent assignment.
Your schedule (shifts, days off, hours per week, etc.) will vary based on operational need.
You will be assigned to, or offered the opportunity to accept, shifts as they become available due to staffing needs.
Some of your shifts will be scheduled in advance and posted with the new week’s schedule. Sometimes you will be called with short notice and asked to come in to cover for someone who is unable to work their shift.
You are expected to work any shift for which you are scheduled in advance that falls within the availability described on this sheet.
For short‑notice call‑ins, you are expected to work at least 80% of the shifts for which you are called.
If you refuse more than 20% of shifts for which you are called in, this could negatively impact your employment status with the company.
Training & Safety A Security Officer may perform a multitude of duties as specified by Post Orders and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP). The officer will read and become extremely knowledgeable of Post Orders and SOP and will be able to act quickly and efficiently according to such directives.
Education Requirements High School diploma or equivalent.
