Food Service Workers

Overview Ansible Government Solutions, LLC (Ansible) is currently seeking Food Service Workers to support operations at the Tibor Rubin VA Medical Center located at 5901 E 7th St, Long Beach, CA 90822. Position Pays: $17.65 / hour Ansible Government Solutions, LLC (Ansible) is a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) providing federal customers with solutions in national security, healthcare, and information technology. We employ dedicated staff committed to our customers' success. Responsibilities Food assembly, tray delivery, and dishwashing. Prepare cold foods and assemble menu items such as nourishments, entrees, meats, starches, vegetables, breads, salads, desserts, beverages, condiments, tray ware, and utensils. Place items on trays according to patient diet cards and menus, following established portions. Deliver meal trays to patient wards and the community living center (CLC) dining room. Break down, clean, and restock the tray line after service. Perform tasks in the dish-room, including scraping trays, sorting, stacking, racking ware for the dish-machine, and retrieving clean ware. Empty trash from kitchen areas into the outside waste receptacle. Assist WG-4 food service workers with storing food deliveries and supplies in refrigerators, freezers, and dry storage areas. Provide courteous customer service when interacting with patients, especially during tray delivery and retrieval. Maintain professionalism and kindness toward staff and patients. Qualifications Must be a U.S. citizen. Subject to background and suitability checks. Complete application package required. Must complete an online onboarding process if selected. Physical Requirements Ability to sit, stand, walk, lift, squat, bend, twist, and reach overhead during shifts. Lift up to 50 lbs from floor to waist. Lift up to 20 lbs. Carry up to 40 lbs over a reasonable distance. Push and pull with 30 lbs of force.
