Role Description

The Account Executive will report to the sales and marketing manager. Responsibilities include managing a high-potential territory, cultivating relationships with municipal and industrial buyers, and driving revenue growth through in-person product demonstrations, consultative selling, and strategic account development.

This position offers an opportunity to represent a trusted manufacturer in rugged, wireless, hands‑free team communication since 1970—delivering real‑world impact to crews who rely on clarity, safety, and durability in demanding environments. Candidate selected will begin with a two‑week, in‑person onboarding and training program at Setcom’s headquarters in Austin, Texas. This comprehensive experience provides hands‑on product knowledge, sales process alignment, and field readiness before territory launch.

Responsibilities

Own and grow a defined central territory of 16 states

Conduct in‑person demos and site visits with fire, fleet, dealer, OEM, and municipal teams

Build relationships with decision‑makers across public safety, public works, and industrial services

Manage full sales cycle: prospecting, qualifying, quoting, closing, and onboarding

Collaborate with marketing and sales ops to refine messaging and territory strategy

Maintain accurate CRM records and forecast pipeline health

Represent Setcom at trade shows, demos, and industry events as needed

Monthly account executive meetings

What You Bring

3+ years of field sales experience, ideally in industrial, municipal, or safety‑related sectors

Proven ability to deliver compelling product demonstrations and communicate technical value in a clear, solution‑oriented manner

Familiarity with public sector procurement processes and decision‑making cycles within fleet and municipal environments

Highly self‑motivated with strong organizational skills, capable of independently managing territory planning, travel logistics, and account prioritization

CRM fluency (HubSpot, Salesforce, or similar)
