Job Description
Do you have a friendly smile and an outgoing personality? We are a small client-oriented law firm located in Dublin, Ohio with a focus on estate planning, probate, real estate, and small businesses. Our office is looking for a full-time Legal Assistant to answer phones, manage files, and perform general administrative tasks.
We are looking for an energetic, outgoing personality to make our clients feel at home.
The successful candidate must have excellent organizational skills, a positive can-do attitude, a strong work ethic, and strong communication skills. MS Office - Outlook, Word, etc. skills required. Legal assistant experience in estate planning, probate, real estate, and small business is a plus but legal experience is not required for consideration. Candidate must be able to type and use a computer effectively.

Responsibilities General Administration
Oversee all aspects of general office coordination.
Maintain office calendar to coordinate work flow and meetings.
Maintain confidentiality in all aspects of client, staff and agency information.
Interact with clients, vendors and visitors.
Distribute incoming correspondence, including faxes, email, and UPS/FedEx or similarly delivered packages.
Prepare responses to correspondence containing routine inquiry.
Project a pleasant, calm, and professional manner and use appropriate telephone etiquette to assist clients with concerns and document questions
File and retrieve organizational documents, records and reports.
Special Projects
Prepare agendas and plan for meetings or marketing events.
Attend meetings as requested.
Collect and maintain inventory of office equipment and supplies and serve as liaison with vendors with regard to repair and maintenance.
Assists in special events, such as marketing workshops and quarterly administrative meetings.
Other duties as assigned by company partners.
Computer and Management Information Systems
Generate documents such as invoices, reports, memos, letters and financial statements using word processing, spreadsheet, database and/or other presentation software such as Microsoft Office Suite
Enter and update client activities in PracticePanther, on a daily basis.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Computer literate with Microsoft Office applications: Windows, Internet Explorer, Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
Demonstrates excellent writing, analytical and problem-solving skills used in written communications
Knowledge of principles and practices of organization, planning, records management and general administration.
Communicate effectively and uses active listening techniques to clarify responses.
Operates standard office equipment independently, including but not limited to, computers, telephone systems, postage meter, copiers and facsimile machines without supervision.
Follows oral and written instructions and produces final documentation with minimal revisions.
Generates draft communications using appropriate and standard grammar, punctuation and syntax without supervision.
Conducts independent research and makes suggestions to improve cost efficiencies.
Minimum Qualifications
Experience in general office responsibilities and procedures.
Works independently and manages time effectively for scheduled tasks.
Be a reliable team player and proactive self-starter.
Experience with PracticePanther and WeathCounsel is a plus, but not required.
Compensation and Benefits: Based on scope of responsibilities and professional experience as negotiated with the employer.
