We are hiring a Staff BI for our Marketing Sciences Organization in Bellevue, WA and Boston, MA locations. In this position you will help us build scalable, robust analytics solutions for marketing at Chewy. You will demonstrate a passion for delivering outstanding customer experience, experience building scalable solutions, and bring communication skills that allow you to instill trust in the team that you are working with. This role will be expected to go deep into utilizing marketing and customer data to create scalable data solutions, analyze channel/campaign effectiveness, and provide insights to the business.

What You’ll Do

Design, develop, troubleshoot, evaluate, deploy, and document data management and business intelligence systems, enabling stakeholders to manage the business and make effective decisions.

Work with business customers in understanding the business requirements and implementing solutions to support analytical and reporting needs.

Design and implement an analytical environment using third‑party and in‑house reporting tools, model metadata, build reports & dashboards, and provide our customers with timely, flexible, and structured access to their data.

Ensure completeness and compatibility of the technical infrastructure to support system performance, availability, and architecture requirements.

Participate in testing of data design, tool design, data extracts/transforms, product analytics, and experimentation.

Implement training and documentation solutions that enable business stakeholders to get the most out of our self‑serve reporting tools.

What You’ll Need

Candidate must possess a bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, or related field, or equivalent experience.

10+ years of experience with detailed knowledge of BI data warehouse technical architectures, infrastructure components, ETL/ELT, and reporting/analytic tools.

8+ years of experience with BI/visualization tools like Tableau/BO/OBIEE, etc.

5+ years of work experience in building self‑serve BI solutions, canned reports, and enterprise‑level BI solutions.

4+ years of experience with data modeling in large data warehousing, data lake environment.

4+ years of data science experience building regression, classification models.

4+ years of experience with R, Python, Weka, SAS, MATLAB, or other statistical/machine learning software.

Exposure to Big Data stack environments (EMR, Hadoop, MapReduce, Hive).

Advanced analytical skills with excellent knowledge of SQL and advanced SQL.

Excellent oral and written communication skills including the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.

Experience with A/B Testing & Optimization techniques.

Bonus

Experience in gathering requirements and formulating business metrics for reporting.

Experience building on AWS QuickSight, Elastic Cache, etc.

Experience with building predictive models from scratch.

Experience building NLP and sentiment analysis.

The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including but not limited to the candidate’s relevant experience, education, and work location. In addition, this position is eligible for 401k and a new hire and annual equity grant.

Base Salary Range $155,500—$249,000 USD
