Job Summary: Creative Studios is a dynamic, fast‑paced in‑house design and motion graphics team within the Disney Advertising group. The team specializes in branded sales materials and communication collateral, including presentations, web design, print ads, event assets, signage, e‑vites, and custom email designs. Creative Studios also handles video editing for sales sizzle reels and manages the business‑to‑business website for Disney Advertising Sales (DAS). Additionally, the team leads production for all virtual and in‑person events, such as the Tech & Data Showcase, Sports Summit, and The Upfront.

We are seeking a creative, detail‑oriented Junior Designer with a strong portfolio and a passion for crafting visually engaging content who can take projects from initial idea through to final execution. In this role, you will design a range of materials while collaborating with cross‑functional partners in sales and communications. This position also includes hands‑on involvement in live productions—supporting longer‑term and last‑minute graphic edits.

The ideal candidate will have strong design skills, fluency in industry‑standard software, and a solid grasp of visual design principles along with excellent stakeholder management across multiple teams.

Responsibilities:

Lead, manage and design sales presentations, emails, event signage, print ads, social media, and other business development material while following internal brand guides and standards to create compelling and inventive designs across multiple stakeholder groups (Sales, Marketing, Communications). This includes taking feedback from stakeholders and quickly delivering back revisions that align with business objectives.

Provide production support for all live and virtually produced events, inclusive of scheduling & stage‑managing shoots, maintaining run‑of‑show in order for seamless program execution, working with script writers to ensure teleprompters are set up and formatted properly for talent, etc. This includes design and editing of graphics, animations, stage management, VIP hospitality, handling of talent in preparations for being on stage, script management, etc.

Offer design support for both long‑term and last‑minute executive financial reports, focusing on formatting and brand design.

Qualifications:

Considerable experience designing presentations within Keynote or PowerPoint from start to finish.

Experience in print or product design and execution.

Expertise in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).

Strong "storytelling" abilities and a positive team‑oriented attitude a must.

Strong eye for, and understanding of, brand standards and how to execute designs against them.

Ability to work independently, take direction from multiple stakeholders and handle various projects simultaneously under tight deadlines.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Self‑starter with ability to work independently on assigned projects but confident enough to ask for guidance and input when needed.

Works well in a team and with a wide range of personalities and job levels.

Reciprocal attitude and openness to give and receive feedback.

Preferred Qualifications:

1+ year(s) experience preferred in a visual design‑related field with expert knowledge of diverse design styles and applications with a strong portfolio showcasing diverse design projects.

Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Visual Arts, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).

Expertise in Apple iWork applications (Keynote, Pages, Numbers).

Expertise with print and color correction as well as Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Word, Excel).

Familiarity with AfterEffects & video editing.

The hiring range for this position in New York, NY is $62,400 to $83,600 per year based on a 40 hour work week. The amount of hours scheduled per week may vary based on business needs. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job‑related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long‑term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
