Our client—a respected organization based on the west side of Columbus—is looking for a proactive Accounting Specialist to join their finance team. This position offers a nice mix of both accounts payable and accounts receivable duties. This is a direct hire opportunity offering long‑term stability and the chance to make a real impact in day‑to‑day operations.
What You’ll Be Doing
Apply customer payments and monitor account balances to ensure accuracy
Contribute to month‑end close by supporting reconciliations and financial reporting
Collaborate with internal departments to resolve billing and payment issues
Process vendor invoices, employee reimbursements, and related transactions
Assist with audit preparation and maintain organized financial documentation
What You’ll Need
Minimum of 3 years’ experience in accounting, accounts payable/receivable, or financial operations
Proficiency in QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, formulas, etc.)
Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize multiple tasks
Excellent communication skills for working across teams and with external partners
Ability to meet deadlines and thrive in a structured, fast‑paced environment
