Job Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Full Charge Bookkeeper to manage comprehensive accounting functions for our business clients. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with accounting software, especially QuickBooks. This role involves all aspects of bookkeeping, financial reporting, and account reconciliation to ensure accurate and timely financial records. The position offers an opportunity to contribute significantly to the financial health of our client organizations through precise and efficient bookkeeping practices. This position impacts these areas of our clients' accounting:
Bookkeeping We provide our clients with various levels of bookkeeping services from bookkeeping support to full-charge bookkeeping. You will assist with information collection and organization as well as data entry. You will be assigned recurring client work as well as one-time bookkeeping engagements.
Payroll We also process weekly and bi-weekly payroll for our clients. You will assist with information receipt and delivery, then process and report periodic payroll for your assigned clients.
Tax Preparation Assistance Tax season is an all-hands-on deck effort. As a support member of this team, you are responsible for pre-tax bookkeeping duties and tax prep reporting. Diligence and organizational skills will be of utmost importance here.
Tax Planning Assistance As with tax preparation, you will assist with assembling the information needed in developing our clients’ tax plans.
Core Duties
Manage full-cycle bookkeeping including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll processing
Perform general ledger accounting and balance sheet reconciliation to ensure accuracy of financial data
Conduct bank reconciliations regularly to verify account balances against bank statements
Maintain detailed records of financial transactions following double-entry bookkeeping principles
Generate financial reports including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements for management review
Ensure compliance with accounting requirements and prepare necessary documentation for tax planning and filing
Assist with budgeting processes and provide account analysis to support financial decision-making
Monitor and manage accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring timely payments and collections
Support tax preparation activities by maintaining accurate records of deductible expenses and other relevant data
Utilize technical accounting skills to resolve discrepancies and improve internal controls
Qualifications
Minimum of 2 years of experience in bookkeeping or accounting
Experience with QuickBooks or similar accounting software
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office suite
Highly detail-oriented and organized
Ability to work both independently and in a team environment
