Private Equity Analyst
to join their expanding
Alternative and Private Investments (API)
Department in Milwaukee.
Financial Analyst Role The Financial Analyst will be directly responsible for researching, underwriting, analyzing, and modeling
private equity and real estate (REIT) investment opportunities
across multiple industries, verticals, and geographies. This role focuses on
growth and value‑add strategies
in both private operating companies and real estate assets.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct
financial feasibility studies
for potential investments, including private equity growth equity, recapitalizations, management buyouts, and
real estate acquisitions, developments, and REIT transactions .
Develop and maintain
financial models
to analyze cash‑flow projections, deal structures, and investment returns.
Perform
underwriting and due diligence
on both
private equity and real estate investments , incorporating sensitivity and scenario analyses to evaluate risk‑adjusted returns.
Monitor
market trends, comparable transactions, and economic indicators
to support investment recommendations.
Analyze
cash flow, balance sheet, and income statements ; assist in preparing performance and variance reports.
Provide critical data for
investor and asset management dashboards
and portfolio performance tracking.
Assist in creating
annual budgets, reforecasts, and variance analyses
for the investment portfolio.
Prepare
monthly and quarterly financial reports
for internal stakeholders, lenders, and investors.
Contribute to the development of
fund offering materials, investment memorandums, and presentations
for senior leadership and capital partners.
Qualifications Required
2‑5 years of experience
in
analyzing REIT and Private Equity deals
within commercial banking, investment banking, private equity, real‑estate investment, or asset management (relevant internships count).
Strong
financial modeling and underwriting skills
(Excel proficiency required).
Analytical mindset with a
detail‑oriented approach
to data and reporting.
Excellent
communication and presentation skills , with the ability to explain complex analysis clearly.
Ability to thrive in a
fast‑paced, collaborative, and entrepreneurial environment .
Preferred
MBA, CFA, or another advanced financial credential.
Experience deploying capital into
private equity and/or real estate investments .
Familiarity with
advanced financial modeling and asset management software
(e.g., Excel, Argus, IMS/RealPage, or Yardi).
The Financial Analyst will travel periodically for
site visits, investor meetings, and industry conferences . Regular in‑office presence is expected, with flexibility for virtual collaboration across multiple locations.
