Special Education Teacher
to support students with diverse learning needs in the Bloomfield, CT area.

Responsibilities
Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student’s needs
Modify general education curriculum to accommodate diverse learning styles and abilities
Provide specialized instruction in one‑on‑one and small group settings
Track student progress and update IEPs throughout the school year
Communicate regularly with parents, staff, and IEP team members
Collaborate with general education teachers and related service providers to support student success
Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with school and district guidelines
Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Special Education
Active state‑level licensure or certification (or eligibility to obtain prior to start)
Strong knowledge of IEP development and implementation
Previous experience working in schools or with children preferred
Strong collaboration and communication skills
Work in a structured, school‑based setting with built‑in school holidays
