The position is responsible for developing, implementing, and managing alumni engagement opportunities that support the Division of University Advancement’s goals, leverages the College of Nursing advancement infrastructure and adheres to CASE best practices and metrics. It leads college‑wide initiatives that foster meaningful connections among students, alumni, donors, parents, friends and volunteers that contribute to philanthropic priorities. The role also oversees collection, maintenance, and use of alumni data. Lead the development and execution of impactful engagement opportunities for College of Nursing constituents through student and alumni enculturation programming, communications, activities and events. Foster participation in experiential learning, networking philanthropy, and volunteerism by connecting current students with alumni through mentorship and engagement activities. Partner with College of Nursing staff to enhance student‑alumni interactions through in‑person and virtual events. Plan and execute College of Nursing‑led events, including conference receptions, Homecoming activities, and outreach programs, ensuring seamless coordination and impactful experiences for alumni and key stakeholders. Assist College of Nursing development and DUA donor relations with touchpoints that strengthen connections with donors and key stakeholders. Support key College of Nursing alumni volunteers, volunteer groups, or advisory boards/councils, partnering with the development team to foster meaningful involvement, engagement and leadership. This may include coordinating meeting logistics, preparing and distributing meeting materials, conducting research, and assisting with events that inspire and empower volunteer leaders. Recommend alumni for volunteer leadership roles and contribute to donor pipeline development through incorporating best practice for discovery, CRM documentation, and recommending potential donors to development colleagues. Leverage existing DUA programming (e.g., Alumni Affinity Networks, Seminole Clubs, Homecoming activities, Seminole 100 and Alumni Awards) to engage College of Nursing alumni and ensure College of Nursing colleagues are aware of programming. Support campus‑wide alumni engagement by staffing signature and regional events, recruiting alumni volunteers, submitting alumni award nominations, and encouraging Seminole 100 applications. Curate and amplify compelling stories about College of Nursing students, alumni and donors. Respond to alumni inquiries. Assist College of Nursing and DUA communications teams by sourcing content for alumni communications. Effectively convey key updates, news, and engagement opportunities from College of Nursing, DUA, and FSU, ensuring meaningful connections to College of Nursing alumni. May extract data files to upload for email distribution lists. Serve as the alumni data steward for the College of Nursing, ensuring compliance with DUA data policies and procedures to maintain accuracy, security and usability, this includes identifying and coding student/alumni participation in key program areas. Analyze alumni demographics and engagement trends to develop targeted in‑person and virtual outreach strategies, fostering deeper connections with key alumni segments. Establish and assess relevant metrics to evaluate engagement effectiveness, using data insights to refine strategies and optimize outreach. Recommend new initiatives and engagement opportunities based on alumni and donor feedback, leveraging insights to strengthen relationships and enhance involvement. Track expenses and process expense reconciliations adhering to FSU and DUA policies and procedures. May develop and manage an alumni engagement budget. Stay abreast of the changing landscape within higher education impacting alumni engagement. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree and three years of experience; or a high school diploma or equivalent and seven years of experience. (Note: a combination of post high school education and experience equal to seven years.) A valid Florida or Georgia Driver’s License or the ability to obtain one upon hire.
