Background –
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Practice Nurse looking to take the next step into a leadership role within a supportive, well-established GP surgery in Scarborough.
You’ll be joining a friendly, multi-disciplinary team that includes GPs, ANPs, pharmacists, and nurses, all working together to deliver high-quality patient care. The practice has a positive, inclusive team culture, excellent clinical support, and a genuine focus on professional development.
This is an ideal opportunity for a Practice Nurse who wants to combine hands‑on clinical work with leadership and mentoring responsibilities, helping to shape the nursing team and improve patient outcomes.
Salary –
£24.00 – £28.00 per hour (DOE) + NHS pension + 6 weeks annual leave + bank holidays + study leave.
Location –
Scarborough, North Yorkshire.
The Surgery
Forward‑thinking, single‑site GP practice.
Approx. 10,000+ patients – mixed demographic, strong community feel.
Supportive, experienced team including GPs, nurses, and allied health professionals.
Good CQC rating and strong QOF performance.
Modern facilities with on‑site parking.
Excellent staff retention and collaborative leadership.
SystmOne clinical system.
Your Role
Lead Practice Nurse – full time, 37.5 hours per week (Monday to Friday).
Combination of clinical and leadership duties.
Focus areas include long‑term condition management (diabetes, COPD, asthma, hypertension), cervical cytology, wound care, immunisations, and health promotion.
Opportunities to develop nurse‑led clinics and contribute to quality improvement.
Mentor and support junior nursing staff.
Structured induction and ongoing training provided.
