Job Description
Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Supervising Traffic Engineer to join our team! In this role, you will lead and manage traffic engineering projects while supervising and mentoring a team of engineers to deliver impactful solutions for infrastructure challenges.
Responsibilities
Manage traffic engineering contracts and traffic analysis/engineering assignments for projects of all sizes.
Develop discipline staffing budget estimates and staffing assignment schedules for projects.
Monitor the quality and progress of traffic engineering deliverables, ensuring production requirements are met.
Collaborate with Project Managers to address staffing, quality, schedule, or productivity challenges.
Support pre-contract and business development efforts as a technical consultant.
Perform other responsibilities as required by the position.
Required Skills
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field.
Minimum of 12 years of related work experience, including supervisory/managerial experience.
Significant experience with NCDOT traffic operational studies, traffic safety studies, and traffic simulation.
North Carolina Professional Engineer (PE) license is required.
Desired Skills
PTOE registration is desirable.
Proven ability to manage engineering/technical personnel and direct work involving complex technical situations.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Thorough knowledge of industry practices, regulations, and current technology.
Proficiency in traffic engineering software, including VISSIM, Aimsun, Synchro/SimTraffic, Transmodeler and a comprehensive understanding of the Highway Capacity Manual.
Expertise in performing Highway Safety Investigations and a thorough understanding of the MUTCD.
Security Clearance None.
Salary Range $108,700.00 - $190,200.00.
