Job Title: Certified Medical Assistant (CMA or RMA)
nFLSA Status/Salary: Part Time/Non-Exempt

nWe are seeking a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA or RMA) to provide superior out-patient care for our Fuquay-Varina Urgent Care. The successful candidate will, through clinical experience, possess general knowledge of standard care procedures, sanitation, and medical records documentation. Good interpersonal communication, attention to detail, and technical skills are desired candidate assets.

nBelow is a summary of expected responsibilities for this position:
nTake temperature, pulse, blood pressure, and other vital signs to detect deviations from normal.
nExplain prescribed procedures and treatments to patients.
nPrepare equipment and aid provider during treatment and examination of patient.
nEnsure all ordered tests are performed accurately and in a timely manner.
nAdminister prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with approved nursing techniques.
nMaintain awareness of comfort and needs of the patient
nPhlebotomy
nPerform drug screens, DOT & Non DOT Physicals
nRespond to life saving situations based upon nursing standards, policies, procedures, and protocol.
nPrepare rooms; sterilize instruments, equipment, and supplies for procedures.
nEducation and Experience
nAssociates degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; or
nSix months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
nDesired Characteristics and Physical Demands
nAbility to utilize electronic medical records systems
nProficient use of lab and medical equipment
nProvide customer service in accordance to clinic mission
nDemonstrate ability to be courteous and respectful when interacting with patients and family members
nPosition may requires extended periods of standing or being on one’s feet along with occasional bending or kneeling.
