Overview
Kimley-Horn is looking for Engineering graduates to join our Aviation Pavement Management Civil Engineering practice in our Orlando, Florida (FL) office in 2026! This is not a remote position.
Responsibilities
Contribute to the development of pavement management systems for commercial airports, state and local aviation agencies, municipalities, and private clients
Travel to airports nationwide to perform pavement evaluations.
Opportunity to contribute to the pre-construction design, planning, modification, and analysis of airfield and unique roadway pavement projects
Utilize technical software programs regularly to analyze, produce, and QC deliverables for our clients.
Solve complex problems, assist project managers, establish and maintain effective working relationships with contractors, and collaborate across disciplines to produce our clients' visions for the future built environment.
Analysts will learn one or more software programs specific to their discipline and others they support: AutoCAD, Excel, GIS, FAARFIELD and more
Qualifications
An ABET accredited engineering degree (Bachelors or Masters) by Summer 2024 in one of the following majors:
Civil and/or Environmental EngineeringMechanical, Biological, Biosystems, or Agricultural Engineering
EIT/EI certification or have the ability to obtain certification
Excellent verbal and written communication
Ability and willingness to travel for site visits as required by the position (approximately 30% of time)
Ability to apply technical skills to meet project demands and solve problems for our clients
Positive attitude and an impressive work ethic
Clear sense of urgency and self-initiative to meet deadlines
Attention to details and ability to contribute to a positive work environment
Passion and demonstrated drive to achieve goals
Exposure to AutoCAD, Microsoft Office Suite, and GIS
