Floating:
Required to float to similar cardiac or telemetry units as needed
Registered Nurse Qualifications
Active NC or Compact Registered Nurse (RN) license (required at start)
Minimum 2 years of recent Telemetry RN experience in a hospital or acute care setting
Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS (American Heart Association preferred)
Proficient in IV starts, telemetry monitoring, cardiac drip management (Cardizem, Amiodarone, Renal Dose Dopamine, Lasix, non-titrating Nitro)
Experience with blood product administration, central line care, dysrhythmia interpretation, isolation precautions, and rapid response/code team participation
Epic electronic charting experience preferred
Must pass EKG testing prior to start date
Ability to float to similar cardiac or telemetry units as needed
Experience caring for adult and geriatric patient populations
Telemetry RN Responsibilities
Deliver high-quality nursing care to cardiac telemetry and pre/post cardiac procedural patients
Monitor and manage arrhythmias and cardiac drips in a clinical setting
Perform IV starts and manage arterial/venous sheaths
Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams, including IV therapy, physical therapy, respiratory therapy, pharmacy, and social services
Participate in rapid patient turnover and transitions (Admission, Discharge, Transfer - ADT)
Float to similar cardiac or telemetry units as required by hospital needs
Maintain accurate and timely documentation using Epic EMR
Comply with unit policies regarding scheduling, attendance, and fatigue management
